Today we did the new dream maker, known for at least the time being as, Skyrim. I did really good today, at least compared to last time. I felt awesome during it, fast and strong. I had a salt gatorade drink last night right before I went to bed and then the salt pill and caffeine with all the other stuff this morning. I started off just a little slower than lsat time, but then I pushed it more on the hills and then we really pushed it in fast on the last flat 800, which was really good. I did a 8:18, finishing in the same second as Collin and then I finished off the rest of my miles at a 7:32 pace, just barely getting over where I'm supposed to be. The rest of the week is really just recovery and distance runs because of the race next week, freedom festival 10k. I'm hoping to do really well there and beat my Deseret news 10k time from last year of a 33.

Recovery run today, just barely over the 7:30 mark again sadly. I'm blaming that on everyone being tired today tho. I still felt good, but the inside of my quad started hurting towards the end, which was kind of weird. Hopefully that goes away. Then I did my core and biking at home. Extra salt is definitely helping.

The workout today was really good. Having the 6:47 or faster as easy pace is really starting to feel like I think it should. I still have to think about going faster, but I'm not exhausted from it afterwards and I feel like I recover from it a lot faster than expected. The miles we did barefoot on the grass felt really slow, but I think they were both like low 6:20's or faster. It's good to see that improvement. Did bike and core today, my leg is feeling a little better, but it's still bugged a little. hopefully it will just go away with time and stretching. The lower body workout we did today was kind of easy except for those single legs squats. I feel like those really worked my legs. Well at least compared to the clock lunges and the alternating calf raises and speed squats.

Easy run pace today. Today it was pretty hard to keep that pace honestly. I ran out towards Westlake today and I almost made it all the way too. I could see the school and I was probably only about a mile away from getting to its front doors. It was kind of sad because at the point where everyone turned around and left me, I still had 3 more miles to go out before I could turn around. My legs felt pretty tired during it, but I stayed positive and I was able not only stay in the pace, but also towards the front end of it and finish strong. I was proud of myself for being able to stick it out and stay to my pace. Especially since yesterday was easy pace too and my legs were already a little tired today to start off with and it was the first day of medium for this year besides last Saturday when we did low+2

Tempo run today, except not quite because those of us who are racing in the Freedom Run 10k, just helped pace the other kids today as we will be racing on Monday. I went and helped pace Ryan. He did really good today. He hit a 6:22 for his first mile and then I'm not sure what his last mile was, but he was hitting a 5:30 pace for at least the last half mile. Then afterwards I ran toward lone peak and cooled down. It was supposed to be recovery pace, which I was really grateful for, and on the way out I was towards the top end of the pace range, but then once I turned back and came back up the lone peak dip I picked it up on the down hill and then I was able to just keep it up and not have to push it really that much and then on the whole way back I was towards the bottom end of the pace range and I was getting some low 6:50s on the whole way back and I felt totally fine too.

Recovery pace run today. I went out on the Murdock Canal trail with Jackie and my Dad. The run wasn't bad today, but I am tired because of the serious lack of sleep by consequence of the Heaps Family Reunion 2016.
